My name is Ryan Gallagher. I am, among many things, a photographer. I started this one a day photo-blog style site as an incentive to improve my (mostly black and white) photography skills. I live and shoot mostly in Austin, Texas. I am a flickr user, but I found I mostly use it for storage and the community. The photos on this site however, I consider some of my best efforts.
I started getting serious about my art and photography in 2005 after some early success with my more experimental work. But photography has always been an interest lingering in the background... my first real experience was a photo-journalism class at the University of Texas... followed by a long pause with most of my photo making taking place in the last two years leading up to 2006/2007.
